This item is a 10 1/2" X 13",color lithograph photo of Jack Kilby...Miniaturized electronic circuits—Kilby was responsible for the design and development of thick film integrated circuits, integrated circuit development and applications, and also invented the monolithic integrated circuit widely used in electronic systems. (1982).....Jack St. Clair Kilby (November 8, 1923 – June 20, 2005) was an American physicist and Nobel Prize laureate in physics in 2000 for his part in the invention of the integrated circuit in 1958 while working at Texas Instruments (TI). He is credited (along with Robert Noyce) with the invention of the integrated circuit or microchip. He is also the inventor of the handheld calculator and thermal printer.
